The AV-568 is designed for the Civil Air Patrol band. It has a die-cast aluminum base and a uniquely designed radiator with a center loading coil to permit short antenna length for practical operation. The antenna is supplied with a weather-sealing gasket and mounting hardware. The antenna is designed to operate at speeds up to 350 mph and altitudes of 50,000 ft. It has a drag force of 3.43 lb @ 250 mph.
