The C-80/C-90 BNE (background noise equalization) head- sets protect ears from low-frequency engine noise and de- livers what SoftComm describes as "crystal clear and dis- tortion free" transmissions.Large, soft ear seals, & low-pressure headband remains comfortable for long-range flights. Newly designed Extend-O-Flex boom secures the microphones position without the lateral twisting of other headsets. Volume controls are located in each ear dome, and users can listen to stereo music and communicate in monaural sound. Designed to accommodate newer cell phones for on-ground use with flight service and taxi services without interfering with ATC communications. Furnished with cellular phone adapter (2.5mm plug). One side of the headset becomes the cell-phone receiver; the other side remains with ATC. The C-90 is ANR version. C-80 is a passiveheadset. C-90 provides positive noise attenuation of 24dB passive and 17dB active (ANR). It is powered by one single 9V battery or optional 12V DC power adapter cable. Battery life can exceed 45 hours.
