Panel Mount Intercom has a switching circuit that allows a pilot to transmit from two separate transceivers while monitoring both simultaneously. Radio actuation is controlled bu a push-to-talk switch, which can be placed in any convient location with a 12V power supply. A separate remote station with a volume control is supplied and can be mounted for pilot/copilot operation.

The duplex mode is used during climb-out, and once pilots come up to altitude, they can switch to the voice-activation mode.
