High Res 10.4” diagonal display with integrated datalink, terrain and water base map with man made obstacles, curved flight paths when interfaced with a Garmin 400/500 series GPS, a traffic awareness display when interfaced to the Goodrich Skywatch/HP TAS or the Ryan TCAD 9900B/BX, and a Goodrich WX-500 Stormscope interface. Available in both horizontal and vertical orientations. At 800X600 pixels, the display resolution is the highest currently available for general aviation airplanes. The very high resolution display can be orientated wither vertically or horizontally, a natural for showing approach or en route charts. Even with out electronic charts, the EX5000 will be an invaluable aid to instrument flying because of its Arinc 429 interface, the EX5000 cab display all the segments of an instrument approach with paired with navigators such as the Garmin HNS430 or the GNS530. en route, the EX5000 provides pilots with Avidyne’s navigational products, including mapping detail with both land and water forms, but with a new feature, obstacles and with agl and msl data. Coupled with the product’s built in terrain mapping and special use airspace depictions, the display gives a good view of vertical restrictions in the flight path ahead.
