3-1/4" tall, snaps open to hold 8 x AA cells. Use Primary / Dry cells (Alkalines) for instant power, OR use Ni-Cds or Ni-MH cells. The IC-8 has a charge jack & built-in circuitry so Ni-Cds and Ni-MHs can be RECHARGED inside (recharges battery cells at 120mA rate with your existing Wall Transformer). The IC-8 can also be placed in a desktop charger, such as the ICOM BC-35, for slow charging of the Ni-Cd / Ni-MH battery cells.
