| The KLN 90 has a 3.3" diagonal split-screen
CRT display that lets you view navigation and database info. at a glance.
Each screen has its own set of knobs and cursor buttons. The large outer
knobs are used to switch chapters and the smaller inner knobs are used
to turn "pages". The
KLN 90 includes various page "types": such as NAV pages , Airport pages,
Flight plan pages, trip planning pages and many more. Two database configurations
are available: North America and worldwide less North America.
The comprehensive
database includes public-use and military airports with runway lengths
greater than 1,000 feet, plus all VORs, NDBs, published intersections,
and outer markers. It also includes storage for 250 user-defined way-points.
Data storage is not limited to lat/lon coordinates: virtually every
airport, air traffic control and advisory communication frequency is
in there, as well as navaid frequencies. The KLN 90s comprehensive
Jeppesen NavDataTM provides quick accurate information when you need
it. And with Bendix/Kings proprietary MultiSatTM satellite tracking
technique, the KLN 90 monitors up to 8 satellites for precise determination
of aircraft position. Must be installed by Advantage Avionics or another
