The new series offers even greater reliability and durability than its predecessor, the HME/HME 25 series. The HMEC 26 features advanced technology designed to protect pilots' ears. This HMEC 26-K variant is wired for Stereo/Mono operation and has left/right volume control.
HME 26 (PASSIVE)
The headset HME 26 is lightweight and is very comfortable to wear. The dynamic and closed headphones provide the perfect passive noise attenuation and ensure superior audio quality. The noise-compensating microphone offers extraordinary speech intelligibility. HME 26 is the successor of the well-known HME 25-KA and is the perfect choice for use in the airline cockpit or business aviation cockpit. It is also suitable for General Aviation.
The HME 26 is equipped with the following features:
- Passive noise reduction of up to 20 dB
- Patented, two-piece, automatically adjustable headband and soft ear pads for ultimate comfort, even for extended periods of use.
- ActiveGard™ peak-level protection system automatically reduces volume peaks that exceed 110 dB, fulfilling the EC Directives on noise at work
- Noise-compensating condenser microphone with adjustable sensitivity
- "Flip-away" headphone allows single-sided listening; when necessary, one of the ear cups can simply be folded backwards away from the ear
- Flexible microphone boom, can be adjusted with one hand and worn on either the left or right-hand side
