SP-5 ADVANCED ARS

The SP-5 is our latest and greatest attitude sensor (the SP-2 is still required for compass). The SP-5 uses the same gyros used in several certified attitude sensors. What is it? The SP-5 contains 3 Silicon Sensing MEMS gyros (the same gyros used in certified AHRS units) and 3 Analog Devices MEMS accelerometers. Using a 16 bit data acquisition subsystem, a powerful ARM7 32 bit processor is used to provide stabilized attitude information. Together with an SP-2 magnetometer on the same Airtalk communications link, the gyro heading can be automatically slaved to the magnetic heading.
