The purpose of iMonitor EMS is to offer you an easy-to-use back-up instrument, displaying essential engine data and informations about other components on your airplane directly on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. You will quickly realize that every action is very intuitive and easy to perform, even when flying in rough air.
At TruTrak Flight Systems, Inc., they know how easy it is to forget a required item when getting in the airplane. That is why this product is wireless to communicate between the EDM module and your device, so that you do not depend on a cord that may not always be in your airplane.
Therefore, in addition of the EDM module to be powered up, Wi-Fi needs to be enabled and connected to the EDM wireless network before launching iMonitor.
Otherwise, the software will warn you that no connection with the module is available, and will give you the possibility to enter the DEMO mode. In this case, all features remain available, but the data being displayed are fake. Please note that this is the only way to buy in-app purchases (audio and visual alerts or engine configuration)
This product should be used in conjunction with a TruTrak EDM Module and a TS-83 Wi-Fi module (part number 11-09682), all made by TruTrak Flight Systems, Inc. These devices should be installed, up and running prior to launching the App required for this product (purchased from Apple iTunes for $0.99).
