MEXICO
THE BAD, THE GREAT AND THE UGLY

Bill Behrenbruch began flying in Mexico in the 1980’s. In the course of the last thirty some years he has over flown most of Baja California and the length and breadth of mainland Mexico. On several occasions those trips have extended as far south as the Central American States of Guatemala, Belize and Costa Rica, but the heart of his travels have been in the Sierra Madre Mountains of northwest Mexico.

The Sierra Madre is a region that remains largely untraveled by outsiders. There is only one paved road that crosses these mountains from the US border to the city of Durango – 800 miles to the south. But, in between, there are great canyon systems, towering mountains, isolated cultures, unknown cliff dwellings and dozens of primitive airstrips that beg the adventurous pilot to come on down and find a piece of contentment. Bill has put together a one hour visual presentation of those trips that span a time frame of twenty plus years. In the course of that time he has traveled the Sierra Madre Mountains by truck, on foot, in a canoe and by private aircraft. He has seen the Bad, the Great and the Ugly during these travels and calls this journey: Mexico – The Bad, the Great and the Ugly. It is a very unique look at a place few people have the opportunity to visit.
