On August 30, 1992, at 8:15 a.m., on a warm Sunday morning, Mike Arnold flew the AR-5 through the three kilometer traps north of Davis, CA at 213.18 mph, setting a new world speed record in FAI Class C1aO (under 661 pounds gross). What a thrill!
