These tapes are used primarily for interior applications,
although it will work fine outside in mild climates and can be used on
an aircraft and hangar for both interior and exterior applications. It
has a very effective adhesive, and it is easy to keep clean. It's used
to label important switches in the cockpit, like your flap switch, fuel
selector, exit handles, or any switch or lever that the individual pilot
feels is important to him or her; especially in the event of a power
failure in flight at night. Some radio knobs are very hard to see at
night, so just a little round circle of PL tape can make it a lot easier
for your fingers to find their way around the cockpit. Every flashlight
that you carry in your a/c or at home for that matter should have this
tape on it. It's not a replacement for the flashlight, but it's the "initial" light
source that will help you find what you're looking for. Also good on
handheld radios, GPS, first aid kits, cockpit pencils, etc. Peel & Stick. |
