(Click image for a larger view) | This brown, 5.3 mil (0.134 mm) glass cloth tape (5451) impregnated with PTFE and silicone adhesive. It is a heat seal tape. Provides a high temperature release surface for protection and insulation such as the bar underneath where the hot wire seals plastic film. The reinforcement provided by the woven glass cloth adds tensile strength and tear resistance.
