Pulsar ExP is the world's most streamlined nav/position/strobe for experimental use that has TSO equivalent light output. The PULSAR was designed from a “clean sheet” utilizing advanced mechanical/electrical computer modeling and optical ray-tracing software to accurately predict the performance of the final product.
The design addresses all the shortcomings of the existing line of competitive products and was intended to meet or exceed all of the FAA requirements for certification. The product is expected to receive certified approval by the last quarter of 2009.
Features
Lifetime Buy (PULSAR is designed to last the lifetime of the airframe);
Zero Maintenance (PULSAR requires no maintenance during its lifetime);
Reduced Power Consumption (Pulsar uses 80% less power than legacy products);
Elimination of Environmentally harmful substances (no Xenon or mercury);
Extended Light Performance (Pulsar doesn’t experience “accelerated light degradation” common to legacy products);
Elimination of RF Noise (no more headset “Ping-Ping” noise that emanates from legacy products’ strobe power supply);
Reduced System Weight (total weight less than 12oz vs. 5lbs for legacy products);
Reduced Aero-dynamic Drag (PULSAR has a Cd which is 10-times less than legacy products);
Direct Retro-Fit (Pulsar will seamlessly replace legacy product with no mounting modification);
Multi-Voltage (PULSAR will accept voltage input from 9-30VDC).
