- The manufacturer will replace with a new battery without charge (except for transportation) any battery which fails in service within 90 days. Addition of any chemical other than water or battery grade sulfuric acid voids this warranty. After expiration of Service Guarantee, adjustment will be made on pro-rata basis based on unused months of service. Batteries that are broken, discharged or fail due to freezing or abuse are not covered.

I BOUGHT ONE ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND IT WAS A GOOD ONE FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS. THEN IT STARTED FAILING IF I DIDN'T USE IT A COUPLE OF WEEKS. IT PROGRESSIVELY WORSE UNTILL NOW I CAN CHARGE IT AND TRY IT 2 HRS LATER AND IT MAY WORK AND MABY NOT. |

In service (flown) 85 hours over 2 years 3 months. Always kept on a Battery Tender Jr when not in use. Failed after 2 years 3 months. I have $30 lawn mower batteries that last 4 to 5 years under similar duty. |

Poor performance after 11 months, kept it on battery tender, always checked electrolyte level and added distilled water when needed. One cell always seemed to bubble more than others during charging. Now discharges itself to 11 volts in only 2 days if not left on tender, I can recharge, but capacity is about 1/4 compared to when new. Not worth the $$. |

Bought mine 2 years ago and still going strong. I have always used Gill batteries and will continue to use them. |

I have always had Gill batteries. Last one was bought 6/5/11, still going fine. The one before that was 9/18/05. Had a few left on master switch issues that might have killed that one after about five years. Think I'll keep trying my luck with Gill till they prove me wrong. |
What's the advantage of ordering with acid versus without acid?
The battery requires acid. The only reason to order without the acid would be if you already have electrolyte that you can use to fill the battery.
Does free shipping apply to the version "with acid"?
