This new self-contained (no external power supply) LED beacon is designed to replace the quartz halogen flashers on single engine Cessna's 1967 & later, and Aero Commanders. That's well over 30,000 aircraft! Its size (2.5" dia. x 3" high) also permits replacing remote mounted strobe lights & power supplies on many different fixed wing platforms as well as some rotorcraft. Utilizing LED (Light Emitting Diode) technology, Whelen is able to provide the following advantages compared to existing light assemblies.
