(Click image for a larger view) | This new solid state fully adjustable fuel monitoring system is the answer to most any fuel tank situation. The solid state capacitance probe has no moving parts and can be bent or cut to length conforming to most application. Probes are available in 12” and 24” lengths. The electronics are housed in the probe head are epoxy-potted to isolate them from weather, fuel spills, etc. A microprocessor sealed inside the probe head samples the resistance values of the fuel inside a 1/4" aluminum tube, amplifies it, and sends it to the gauge. Odd or pyramid shaped tanks are no problem for these senders. A pair of variable resistors housed in the strobe head allows for a full range of adjustments. Will not react to “fuel sloshing” or sudden changes in aircraft attitude.
Requires 12 volts DC to operate. Comes with complete installation instructions. Not for use with water or alcohol. All new installations use 5 volt system. Sender sold separately. |
