What does 0, 8, and custom tilt mean? Thanks
You can check your aircraft owner’s manual or contact the aircraft manufacturer to determine if your aircraft’s panel is tilted (pitched foreward from 90 degrees). Most panels are flat, 0 degree tilt, but some need the 8 degree or a custom angle to read correctly in level flight. The custom angle version is special order and non-cancellable, non-returnable.
My aircraft was certified with an electric gyro. What documentation is needed to replace it with this unit? Does anything need to be filed with the FAA?
A logbook entry is required but as with avionics installation please check with your installer as they will determine if any paper work needs to be submitted. Even though a product is TSO'd 337 may still need to be done.
