(Click image for a larger view) | The XCP is a low-cost, high-duration multi-place oxygen system. With the A3 and Oxymizer cannula each person will use at most 1.0 liter/min. at 18,000 ft. This makes it easy to calculate your cylinder life time. Example: If you have 415 liters and four persons and are to cruise at 18,000 ft., you would divide 415 by 4 which equals 103 min. per person. The flow rate at 18,000 ft. is typically only 3/4 (0.750) liter/ minute with the Oxymizer cannula.
However, 1.0 liter/min. isused as a worst-case scenario and for calculation conven- ience. The XCP delivery system consists of:
(1) XCP quad- port regulator with self-sealing outlets
(4) XCP face masks for use w/ the A4 flowmeter or nasal congestion
(4) Nelson A3 flowmeter/regulators with 3 feet of high quality tubing w/ CPC connectors and 4 Oxymizer® type "M" nasal cannulas
(1) Oxygen cylinder (AL-415 or AL-682)
(1)TuffPack padded fabric carry/strapping case for cylinder and equipment
XCP system comes w/ the A3 flowmeter/regulator. It has an alti- tude/flow scale calibrated for the unique Oxymizer oxygen- conserving cannula. The scale is marked in 2,000 ft. incre- ments for VFR flight levels up to 18,000 ft. You can operate the XCP in IFR flight levels with the optional A4 flowmeter/ regulator and associated F1 face masks. This will, use much more oxygen. All systems are shipped empty.
