Prepware is the computer-based preparation tool with realistic test simulation, study and review modes, detailed performance graphs, and built-in timers to give you the confidence to ace every FAA Knowledge Exam. Study: With comprehensive Study Guides for each topic, you can familiarize yourself with the material before beginning each study session on specific subjects. Explanations for both correct and incorrect answers are provided. You can keep Notes while you study; these will save with your sessions for quick reference throughout your studies. Prepware combines all the information you’ll find in ASA’s Test Prep and Fast-Track Test Guide Series, with the benefits of computer-based training. Test: The program provides user-selectable tests for initial ratings and certificates, add-ons, and different aircraft categories: airplane, rotorcraft, lighter-than-air, glider, powered parachute, and weight-shift control — accurate for the actual questions, number of questions, and time allowed for your desired certificate or rating. This allows you to prepare for the exact test you intend to take. All question figures are available onscreen with a click of a button for quick reference. The CX-2 electronic flight computer is available onscreen for your use during both Study Sessions and Tests. Review: At the end of each test, your results are shown graphically, for instant recognition of the areas that may require more study. After taking your test, you can review missed questions for an efficient, on-track learning process. You have the option to print or e-mail your score so you can request your endorsement to take the FAA Knowledge Exam from your flight or ground instructor. Alternately, you can email your scores (2 tests, each with a score of 80% or higher) to ASA to request your endorsement (test authorization) at no additional charge. QuizMaker: The instructor utility QuizMaker lets you generate pop quizzes or examinations using actual FAA knowledge exam questions. Quizzes can be of any length and on any specific subject or subjects. You can print exams, student answer sheets, and the instructor master key for efficient grading. Alternately, you can upload your tests to a Prepware School account (Prepware School sold separately) for your students to take the quizzes electronically anywhere they have an internet connection. QuizMaker also provides google-like search capabilities, providing the ability to search the full database of questions, answer stems, explanations, etc. You can use this feature to build a follow-up quiz from your Airman Test Report (the document you receive at the completion of your FAA Knowledge Exam); enter the subject matter knowledge codes (SMKCs) on your report and Prepware will show you all the questions from this subject so you can study these areas before heading to your checkride. ASA makes sure you have the most current information by publishing the books and software every July, and posting Updates on the ASA website that include changes made to the tests throughout the year. We also provide a free e-mail subscription service so you are automatically notified when a new update is available for your test. The Updates may be downloaded directly from Prepware, so you can be confident you are always studying the most current data.
