(Click image for a larger view) | The Defender features a crenelated bezel and sculpted tailcap to enhance the defensive capabilities of this tough little light. The Defender throws a blinding beam of 60 lumens, capable of temporarily disorienting and dazzling an aggressor in low-light (hopefully never the cockpit). If the need arises, the Defender’s crenelated bezel can be used to strike an assailant or to exert pain-compliance pressure techniques to subdue an aggressor (some people just overreact in their distaste for that in-flight meal…). The Defender comes in a matte black finish, the result of a Type III mil-spec hard anodizing process. The tailcap is a special version of The click-on tailcap used on many of SureFires weapon-mounted tactical light systems provided to the U.S. Military.
