PIPER CABIN DOOR AND OVERHEAD TRIM REPLACEMENT HANDLES

Piper no longer produces the trim handle, and an estimated 10% of 31,000 Pipers on the registry which utilize their handles. The OEM handles is a very weak link in the entire door assembly. Everything downstream of the handle is pretty secure. Therefore, they have improved the handle and have the requisite FAA STC and PMA for the production of them.

They hardly ever get lubricated and due to their exposure to the elements, rust in the pivot point can prevent the door from closing properly and should be replaced from time to time as they wear.
