AIRCRAFT WINDLOCKThe none-ridged mechanism keeps tension on the Elevators, holding them in the full down position, which normally prevents the aircraft from leaving the ground, regardless of wind direction. This position also allows moisture to drain from inside the control surface, helping to prevent corrosion. Click here to view more details. |

RANS CONTROL LOCKRANS has developed a control lock that attaches to most models. The lock consists of a bungee cord, a couple of hooks and cap that slips over the top of the control stick. It installs in seconds and the hooks feature adjusters that allow the bungee tension to be set for a particular model. One nice aspect of the control lock is that it is not hard bolted so if an outside force against the control surfaces occur, the bungees will absorb the load and still prevent the surface from hitting against the stops.
