Another Great Year For Us!
Every year the sport aviation community returns to Oshkosh for a week of renewing old friendships, making new friends, and learning about all of the exciting new aircraft designs and aviation products. For the Aircraft Spruce staff, Oshkosh is a week of hard work, but it is also an an opportunity to meet and assist our customers on a personal basis!

EAA, AIRCRAFT SPRUCE HONOR
30,000TH HOMEBUILT AT AIRVENTURE
Oshkosh, WI – Bob Noll, his wife and three kids all worked on completing his homebuilt RV-9A by this past February. The Experimental Aircraft Association, working with the FAA, whose records make it difficult to count completions, designated Bob’s project as the 30,000th homebuilt aircraft to receive a Certificate of Airworthiness. Noll and his family, representing the entire body of homebuilt aircraft, were honored by EAA, the FAA and Aircraft Spruce during AirVenture 2008.
Aircraft Spruce & Specialty, which has supported and encouraged homebuilding since 1965, recognized Bob Noll’s accomplishment by presenting him with merchandise and a certificate with a retail value of $2,000. Reflecting on the accomplishment, Jim Irwin, president of Aircraft Spruce, said: “It’s taken a long time, a considerable effort and a large sum of money to bring 30,000 homebuilts to the flightlines in this country, but this is clearly a moment we can all be proud of. We’re pleased to have played a role in making this possible for so many of the builders.”
Aircraft Spruce continues to encourage homebuilding and offers complete plans and materials packages for 34 different designs.
