Piper no longer produces the trim handle, and an estimated 10% of 31,000 Pipers on the registry which utilize their handles. The OEM handles are a very weak link in the entire door assembly. I ordered the door handle for my PA-28-180. It seemed a little pricey however, after I received it I was very impressed with the quality and sturdiness of the design. Not only did it greatly improve the appearance of the cabin door by making it look more professional but it is far more robust than the original (and cheap) door handle. I would recommend this to anyone considering buying a replacement door handle. Im planning on ordering the trim handle eventually as well.

I purchased this for my PA32-300’s aft door. Handle is good but the arrow points the wrong way. It would point the right way on my forward door.
