Overview

71110 series is a wing tip mounted strobe anti-collision/position light assembly utilizing LED's for the forward position lights. The LED's provide a significant reduction in current draw over conventional position light bulbs. The strobe light lens assembly is radio shielded for maximum EMI/RFI protection. Direct replacement (exact footprint) for the Whelen Model A650PG/PR series without replacing the current strobe power supply. Navigation light portion is wired with flying leads.

Q: I plan to buy 2 x 71110 and 1 x WHELEN MICROBURST I TAILLIGHT ASSEMBLY strobes (Part # 11-08472). Which power supply should I choose for these 3 strobes?

For the 71110 series wingtip lights you can use the HDACF power supply. 11-16218 is the part number for the HDACF. The Microburst 1 does not require a power supply and can be run off of 14 volts DC.

Q: If I replace my A650-PG with the Whelen Model 71110 series anti-collision LED position lights, do I need to replace the strobe power supply?

The Whelen Model 71110 series anti-collision LED position lights are a direct replacement (exact footprint) for the Whelen Model A650PG/PR series and replacing the current strobe power supply is not necessary.

Q: What is included with the Whelen Model 71110 series LED assembly? Everything in the picture including strobe bulb and both Lenses?

Yes, just select the color of the nav light, and voltage. It is sold as an assembly.

Q: Can this be used as a replacement for the older 1285 wingtip assembly using the A427 flash tube? In other words, will the power supply already installed for the A427 work with this A612 flash tube?

The power supply would be fine for both flash tubes but the footprint of these are different. If the 1285 wingtip calls for an A427 you must use that or the cover and lens may not fit.
