Avglas STC, FAA-PMA repair kits for approved Continetal carburetor heat boxes are now manufactured by McFarlane Aviation. The Teledyne/Continental carburetor heat boxes are made from brazed steel and are used on many of the older light aircraft. Repair kit includes replacement butterfly shaft assembly with detent spring, bearings, bearing housing, complete instructions, locknut and washer. This improved kit has solid alumabronze bearing for better vibration resistance and longer life. Model FG-100 PN 08-01309 Airbox repair kit includes bearing housings, shaft assembly, and S.T.C. for repair of Continental C75,C85,C90, and O200 airboxes. For airbox part numbers 50256,628122,653675,651534. Model FG-105 PN 08-01310 Repair kit for the airbox on 6 cylinder Continental O-300. Fits part number 530852 and 531143 air boxes. Kit includes bearing housings and shaft assembly with S.T.C. for repair. |

As expected. High quality
Great kit. A little expensive but its the lmm ast time you will need to repair your airbox. They improved it by getting rid of the bearings on each side. Not necessary and they were normally cooked by welding/brazing the flapper valve on the shaft. Now its a high temp bushing. Should have been designed this way in the first place.
A bit tricky to take the old shaft off of the butterfly. I took mine to a machine shop for disassembly. Watch the heat on installation. I used a HF flex core wielder on low heat wire speed 3. So far everything is OK. AMT IA
