WARNING: POSSIBLE LINK BETWEEN CHROMATE PIGMENTS AND LUNG CANCER Several independent technical studies have suggested that excessive inhalation of zinc chromate dust may cause lung cancer. On the basis of these findings, the manufacturers have requested that the sale of zinc chromate primer and zinc chromate primer aerosol be restricted to commercial or professional shop use. Professional users should be certain that workers are not exposed to concentrations in excess of the O.S.H.A. threshold limit value (TLV) of 0.1 milligram (as chromium) per cubic meter. If conditions are such that this limit may be exceeded, additional protective equipment is required. A respirator that has a NIOSH/MESA approval TC-23C. See catalog for respirators that meet this requirement. |

Love shopping their. And this product after use, made the airplane parts that I painted look like new.
I used to repair the paint on the wing flaps of a Cessna 172 and it worked great with no problems.
Great durable gloss black paint w a nice shiny finish. Really like it and highly recommend it.
Make sure you use gloves or your finger will turn white spraying. First coat looked great but when I got closer to running low on paint it seemed to spray out something that started to make my parts have Cobb webs.
The spray nozzle is no different than you would find on spray paint from Lowes or Home Depot. I do think it was easier to keep from running, though. For that reason I am pleased, but I am bummed the spray pattern was not wider as suggested.
I found that this paint is exactly the opposite of what it claims. It doesnt ahere well to aluminum and it is so soft that it is possible to scrape it off with a fingernail. Make sure you spray this with a rubber glove covering your hand as a lot of paint will end up on your index finger.

Engine enamel, like part number 09-00995, would work much better. It has a higher heat resistance, 500*F, and oil and fuel resistant.
The shelf life of the Tempo Aircraft Enamel is 3 years. We have added the MSDS sheet to the 'Documents' tab and it is available for download there.

This material can be used on parts made of fiberglass and resin. General pre-paint cleaning and prep procedures would apply.
The surface prep recommends cleaning the surface and sanding shiny areas. It does not mention primers.
