Overview

The U.S. Navy started making the G-1 leather jacket (originally known as the M-445 flight jacket) during the Second World War. The jacket was form-fitted with a longer waist webbing at the bottom, a bi-swing back for easier arm movement and a Mouton collar. The G1 used button closures on the front pockets. It was made until 1978 when Congress cancelled it due to its popularity and lack of supply. It was produced again during Desert Storm and is still issued today. Alpha is proud to make this iconic leather bomber.

Alpha's reproduction of the coveted naval leather flying jacket featuring a genuine mouton fur collar.

Features:
  • Premium goatskin leather
  • Bi-swing back for free range of movement
  • Underarm gussets
  • Knit waistband and cuffs
  • Legendary Pilot Jacket
