Works fine, appears well made, used it on a Champion filter. Takes the guess work out and easily fits into the available space on an RV-4/IO-360. Not cheap but should provide years of useful service.

It worked great and gave me the confidence to know that I have the filter tighten to the right pressure. It was very easy to use and it will also work with Champion filters.

Upon initial receipt the torque broke in the wrong direction. Aircraft Spruce did great by immediately shipping a replacement. I also later received the corrected tool back which I will return as I did not pay for two. FYI: I calibrated measuring and test equipment for a living before retiring. Surprised to find it was made in China. A bit pricy for a tool made in china but when considering it is a special tool that is to be expected. Not a mandatory tool for the box but sure make the task easier and more repeatable. Especially if your filter is mounted on an adaptor or extender.

Tool was not well protected in shipping box. The tool box was open when I received the package. The tool had a calibration cert but Im not convinced it is accurate after seeing the package was torn open when I received it. Aircraft Spruce needs to do a better job of packing.

I am an A&P mechanic, and I use Tempest spark plugs and oil filters exclusively. Their quality and price puts the Champion products to shame. I was somewhat horrified to see the made in China label on this tool. Probably wouldnt have purchased it knowing that. Would have stuck to my regular torque wrench.

For the amount charged was very surprised to receive a tool made in China.

Made in China equals sloppy calibtation for torque. It was not even close to the correct torque for proper tightness for the filter. Resulting in the filter being excessively tight. Works fine for removing filter but not installation.

I guess the torque wrench works okay, but it is the cheapest tool I have ever bought. The paper with the tool claims it is calibrated. It being made so cheap, I sure hope its calibrated correctly. It cost $62.30, but should cost 1/3 of that. I really believe Tempest should sell us a decent product for the money they are charging. I would probably be willing to pay more if it was a quality tool made in the USA. I hope their filters are made better than their tools. Should the quality of their filters be compared to the quality of their tools? I think so.
