Bought this same wheel when I built my RV8 several years ago and decided to get a new one for the new project. One of my heavily used items in my shop. Could not live without it. A+++
Great timesaver for deburring aluminum edges. I would recommend to any builder of aluminum aircraft - well worth the cost.
The 3M Scotch-Brite Deburring Wheel (7A version) is a great way to clean up metal parts after cutting. Its fine enough to polish the surface well enough to remove scratches that could create stress cracks but is also fast enough to wear down large burs. I ended up buying a Harbor Freight polisher as it had a long enough arbor to accommodate the wheel size. This is definitely a must-have for metal finishing.
Works great for deburring sharp edges on panels.
Q&A
The 7A, 12-00875, is a medium grade cut and polish wheel, and the 7S, 12-00948, is a fine grade light deburring wheel.
The 7S is 1" wide and the 9S is 1/2" wide.
It is a 6" wheel. We are not sure if it would work on a 8" grinder. You would need to check with the grinder manufacturer to see if it can use 6" wheels.
