Part# 12-00122
MFR Model# FAP-16 TOOL

Overview

Cuts filter quickly and cleanly without the oily mess from most tools sold on the market today. Removable center spindle for 13/16"-16 or 3/4"-16 filter threads (the common filter threads). Simply screw filter onto bottom of tool and move cutting wheel into filter while cranking the handle. Tool can be placed in a bench vise (has steel clamping bar) the most popular method. Or remove clamp bar, by removing the clamp bar the tool can be mounted directly to a bench or on the wall, wherever you choose.

Heavy-duty steel construction, high quality rugged design, hardened cutter. This is not a cheaply built tool, its all-metal construction will provide years of use.

Q: Will this work on filters that have male threads? I'm looking for a cutter that will work on a Champion filter Number CH48110-1, let me know if this cutter will work.

No. This will only work with oil filters with female threads. Take a look at the oil filter cutting instructions for P/N# 12-21395.

Q: Someone previously asked if this cutter would work with a filter that has male threads, specifically Champion part # CH48110, and that person was told that it would not. But when I asked my mechanic, he said this is exactly the cutter he uses for all his oil filters and he recommended it to me so I purchased it. Sure enough, my airplane uses a Champion CH48110-1 and the filter screws right into the female threads on the handle of this cutter (just dont attach the male thread adapters). My only complaint thus far is that, according to the sales literature, this cutter can be attached to a wall however, there are no brackets or instructions for mounting this cutter to a wall.
