Strong, solid materials , good clamping strength but I wish the clamp gap was larger than it is or was available. These are great for clamping thin materials together with great strength.

HANDI CLAMP TP641HC 1 1/2"
I use these for spot welding sheet metal and for holding anything thin, keeping them tight and exactly where I want them. Once, clamped, their grasp is firm and almost no slip (but only if they are holding something vertically, and even then they work very well). I bought two sizes just in case but the small works for me as I am usually working on pieces less than a foot or so in size.
