The difference between the GA26c and the GA27c are the connectors:
GA 26C - 8 feet of cable and BNC connector
GA27C - MCX Connection
Part # 11-00052 is the MCX connector that allows for it to connect to either unit.
The 660 can replace the 696. However, it will require a new bare wire cradle to have the same functions you currently have. For the XM receiver you will need a separate unit such as the GDL51 which connects to the 660 for XM capability.
