Worked perfect for my application,.. Great customer service!
The bulbs arrived on time as expected, one of them had some small shards of glass inside of the sealed bulb and I contacted them regarding it. They replied they would send a replacement at no charge (havent received it yet but should be here in a couple days) The other bulb that had no issues is currently installed and working perfectly. Ive given them a 5 star rating regardless of the 1 bulb as their customer service is exemplary !
Light replaces the existing lamp, same fit and turns on when required. Package and lamp does not provide country of manufacture and one of the poles twisted when tightening the connection causing me to wonder how long the lamp will work. I will not repurchase this brand again. Aircraft Spruce offers other selections so I will look here first.
Just whai I needed. Fits right, no trouble hooking up. Comes with the brass screws so I could get rid of the old screws. Better price than my local FBO, so Im happy.
Per the supplier: The 4509Q IS halogen, the 4509 is not.
Yes, Martek 4509 is a direct replacement for the GE 4509 light.
Any PAR 36 LED can replace the 4509 landing light. For example, the Teledyne Alpahbeam (part # 11-08459) or the Whelen Parmetheus Plus (part # 11-12976 / 11-12978) would both be great options.
110,000 candle power.
These bulbs do not have any FAA TSO approval on their own. They meeting specifications for replacement bulbs. Many general aviation aircraft have the bulb approved under the airframe approval and these are viewed as standard replacement parts. Please check with your local aviation authority for confirmation that these bulbs can be installed in your certified aircraft.
