These lightweight aircraft magnetos are being used by many new equipment manufacturers. Weigh only 3-3/4 lbs. compared to 6-1/4 lbs. for typical old style magnetos.
In early 1988, Slick discontinued the sale of re-manufactured magnetos to offer new units only.
All units carry a one-year warranty after delivery to the user. These model magnetos are completely rebuild-able. The old 4000/4100 series magnetos and the 600 series magnetos may not be returned as an exchange unit for a new magneto of the same model. Most other Magnetos may be returned for core credit.
Drive gears are not included. *When purchasing slick magneto separately gaskets are not included.

Might check into sureflight solid state mags for a certified replacement.
NO gasket included with new very expensive magneto. Should have been included. Ordering this through Spruce Aircraft took 3 tries and there was no call back when I was told I would receive one. Was on hold for many minutes. The last rep did a good job.
4000/4100 series are not accepted as cores, 4200 and newer series mags are acceptable. Some competitor mags are accepted, but please verify first with sales to be sure your mag will be accepted.
Both the harness and gear from a 4200 mag will work on a 4300 mag with no issues, that said if the harness is as old as the 4200 mag (25+) years it absolutely needs to be replaced as well.
Yes, the 4330 Slick Magneto is sold with an impulse coupling.

Yes, you will have to pay for the core in advance and once we receive your core we will refund you back you money. There is no set time limit on how long you have to return the core.
Per Champion: No. We no longer accept Unison Industries magnetos as cores.
The gear is the same but the 4001 series is not an acceptable core. You would have to provide 4200 or 4300 series cores.

Per Champion, it could be a direct replacement if experimental and the have the correct prop and starter. It would not likely be a replacement on a certified aircraft.
