Hi! I’m Georgiana and I’m the reason Daddy decided to build our RV10. When he and Mama got married they had an RV4 which suited them quite nicely. They took it to Sun ‘n’ Fun, SERFI, local EAA meetings, Virginia to see Mama’s folks, and even delivered Lab puppies to their new owners on occasion.

Daddy had always dreamed of building a Harman Rocket though and since the RV4 was getting some wear and tear on her he started dreaming of ordering the empennage for an HR2.However, before he took that step he and Mama found out that I was on the way…So Daddy gave up his dream machine for me-I’m that special!

He ordered the tail kit for the ‘school bus’ in May 2010 and he flew for the first time on March28, 2012. It really took a looong time and lots of orders from someplace called Aircwaft Spwuce but he and Slappy finally got it done.

Mama and I walked out to the hangar almost every day to see how things were coming along. Sometimes Daddy grumbled a little about making another order to that Aircwaft Spwuce place ‘cause he claimed I had lost some important piece but if Mama and I didn’t come visit for a while he wondered where we were.

Mama, Slappy,and I are anxious for the 40 hour business to be done real quick! I am going to be a big sister in May sometime and I really want to fly to Virginia to show off my new baby brother or sister to Grandma and Grandaddy!

Slappy is Daddy’s cousin who helped us to build the RV10. I think he has more hours in the build than anyone and its just not fair that he can’t have a ride right away. He is always real nice to me when I go to the hangar and gives me candy and pours pop into little cups just my size.

I guess we all three need to just “hang on!” (as Daddy is always telling me). The good thing is that Daddy doesn’t need any encouragement at all to fly. If you ask him I don’t think he minded the trade from rocket to school bus all that much- his big ‘RV grin’ is proof of that.
