These charts are similar to Sectional Charts and the symbols are the same except there is less detail due to the smaller scale.
WACs show topographic information, airports and radio nav aids.
They are extremely useful for strategic flight planning, where a comprehensive view of the entire flight is useful.
Easy for passangers to follow along during flight
The perfect backup to your electronic charts!
The State capitals may be incorrect
Scale is smaller than standard WAC. Also by the wording on the front cover I was expecting an airports info section.
I am not happy nor impressed with this book of charts, espicially at the price. There is no index of charts, the scale is small and hard to read and correlate with other information. There is no easy way to get information on MOAs, Warning areas, and Restricted areas. Navigating North or South is useless if your destinations are on or along the spiral, since there is no overlap. I would never buy this again.
The booklet format is not as useful for long distance planning as the WAC charts. There is also no useful index to the chart pages, which causes wasted time trying to find the page you want.
The pages are made of a durable paper. Dimensions are 8-1/2" x 11" x 1/4" thick. It includes all of the USA WAC charts.
