I ordered 2 pairs of the the DC One-XP headsets and they are a great choice. I had a Bose A20 set for several years and the DC One-XP has as good or better Noise Canceling capability in my opinion. They also fit my head much better. You can hardly tell you are have them on. I ordered mine with the 6 pin connector and also purchased the 6 pin adapter for the standard 2 plug phone jacks, which allows me to use these in aircraft with the standard headphone jack set up. The One-XP works great with the adapter and I have had no issues with the product. Plus these are American made to boot.

I replaced a 20 year old Bose X with this, and Im glad I did! Low frequencies ANR seems equivalent, but the passive high frequency attenuation is much better on the DC (aircraft is RV6-A). Quality of design is top-notch, metal parts where needed instead of the plastic on the Bose.

This is a fantastic headset. I have owned many David Clark headsets through the years, they keep getting better! No longer are they the heavy ear crushers they were. The DC One XP is light comfortable and very quiet, also offering stereo music, bluetooth connectivity, and ANC...with panel power batteries are not an issue.. I highly recommend this headset

Q: What is the length of the cord between the ear cup & control module on the David Clark One-XP?

45 inches from ear cup to control module. Total length of cord approximately 6 feet.

Q: Why does this say powered by 2 AA batteries providing 50 hours of use? Is it not powered by the LEMO jack?

The batteries are for the control module, however the panel power is for the ENC.

Q: I need 2 DC One-X, is there an adapter to use the DC One-XP instead?

There is an adapter that will convert LEMO jacks to dual GA plugs. Please view part # 11-03570.

Q: Please confirm that when ships power is connected through the lemo plug that a battery is NOT required to be installed.

The David Clark One-XP derives operating voltage from aircraft or defaults to 2x AAs when ships power not available.

Q: Let me try the question again. With the lemo plug connected to ships power, is a battery REQUIRED to be installed. The most helpful answer that you could give would be yes or no.

No, when connected to ships power the unit does not need to have batteries installed, although it is recommended for backup by the manufacturer.

Q: Will the control module function fully without batteries?- yes or no please

Q: Will this work properly with the Bose 6 pin Lemo Headset Install Connector Kit (Part# 11-01846)? (will the Bose kit supply power to the David Clark headset and work properly?)

Yes, it is the same.
