The SINGLE MAGNUM SMART STROBE Driver is a state of the art single strobe light system. There is not another system on the market like this one.
It will operate on 10 to 80 volts of AC or DC input power. It can be powered directly from the engine lighting coil (AC) or from a battery (DC) without any change in brightness or its double wink flash pattern at a 74 per min. rate There are NO options to change and NO special equipment needed.
This model is a favorite for king post installations and with the PPC flyers. It is also available with either the standard STREAMLINE HEAD or the COMBO STREAMLINE WHITE HEAD. Both are popular for tail mounting.
Average current draw is less than 2 Amps. The driver measures 4 1/2" X 3 1/2" X 1 1/2" and weighs 10 ounces.
I ordered the Single Magnum Smart Strobe driver by itself (I had previously bought and installed a Kuntzleman Streamline Strobe head a few years ago). When I installed the driver unit and applied power, my strobe did not function correctly. It would flash once, then double wink, then flash once more time and quit. After ensuring that everything was connected properly, I contacted Kuntzleman Electronics via email for additional troubleshooting help. I was very impressed with their customer service. Dick Kuntzleman emailed me back early the next day and maintained a dialog regarding troubleshooting until the problem was resolved. In the end, the problem was indeed the strobe bulb which must have been damaged during shipping or installation. I was able to easily fix it, and Dick Kuntzleman offered to replace it even though it had been purchased years ago. I rated this product a 5 because not only it is simple and easy to install and operate, but the customer service of Kuntzleman Electronics is second to none. I am now a dedicated customer who will only install their lighting products on my RV-4.
