Designed for 2-stroke engines including the Rotax and Hirth product lines. Wapsi Aero is excited to introduce a new affordable engine monitoring solution to the ultralight and light-sport markets. This instrument provides the features found in modern glass-panels at a fraction of the cost. All engine parameters are displayed on a single page to allow for quick assessment of engine health without flipping through menus. The clearly-marked ranges help the pilot quickly verify that the engine is operating within its normal limits and on-screen alarms indicate when these limits have been exceeded. The display also includes integrated airspeed and altitude indicators, making it a one-stop instrumentation solution for space-limited installations. |

Making the Wapsi a drop in replacement for the popular GRT EIS systems was a smart marketing move. Cable, panel cutout, and mounting holes are all the same. I was replacing a GRT and it would have been a completely painless replacement if I hadnt tucked it tightly in the corner of my console. The Waspi face is 3/16 taller so I had to do a slight rework of my panel. Most people wont have this problem. I love now having all the info displayed without having to page through a few screens, and the addition of airspeed and altitude is great. However, the airspeed will only go as low as 28mph. I didnt see this in any of the specs. Its only in the installation manual.
