These English fuel caps are used on most of the worlds super cars and bikes, and some series production aero planes. They are beautifully made in forged and bright anodized aluminum. The high precision and easy to operate mechanism is very secure and non vented. They are designed to keep the fuel in and the water out. The lock is there to ensure that your tank is free from contaminants. Aero caps are used on Adam, CAP, Cirrus, Diamond, Lancair Columbia, Lancair kits, Nemesis, Vans, Velocity and many more aircraft. Cap assemblies come complete with cap, gasket, and flanges as ordered. Two keys come with the locking version. Fixing can be by rivet, bolt, weld or glass in as appropriate. These are flush caps of outstanding quality which are ideal for virtually any homebuilt aircraft. Order the attach ring separately as needed, see accessories. The 300 Series: 3-3/4" OD opening 1-3/4", 6 hole 3" pcd. A37 fits 2" and 2.25" Hoses. The A512 & A508 Series: 3" entry / 5.5" OD. Feature special surface seal to avoid water/ice ingress. For Avtur Jet and diesel fuels. |

As Robert says, all Cirrus gas aircraft use these 300 series fuel caps. Do not understand Jasons problem. Re locks, replacement numbered locks are often available so as to match an older one. Just quote the number required and request a replacement lock. eg 615.....

Im happy this fit, disappointed i wasnt able to order a cap that matches the key i already have. If that were an option, i would have gone that route and ended up with a 5 start review. As it stands, this is a good and functional stop-gap measure.

Either 2" or 2-1/2" I.D. hose can be used on the 05-28653 hose neck.
The only difference is the 05-28653 has a locking cap, and the 05-28659 has a non-locking cap. They do come with mounting hardware (screws & nuts), cork gasket, but not a back flange.
They are two different size caps. In short, the 05-28654 is a much smaller diameter cap than the 05-02650.
