Piper and Mooney and other light twins and singles. Constructed of welded square steel tubing. The three-leg design clears close tolerance gear doors, such as Bonanzas and Barons. Machine jack point centering cap with casters, jack handle holder and positive locking collars. Oversize shipping charges apply.
Note: Mooneys require 26" clearance plus room for the cap or the Jack will not fit. |
I have borrowed this same jack for my Columbia 400 on a couple of occasions. Owners please be careful as the Columbia tail drops as the nose wheel comes up. The tail must be braced and the opposite wheel needs sturdy chocks. This jack works as advertised. I left the plane up on this jack for 3 days and it did not move an inch. I would love to own one at some point.
Great aircraft jack.
I havent got to use it yet. UPS shipped it to the wrong address somewhere in the US. It took more than a week (almost two) to receive it. The jack was bought for a Christmas gift for my son. (Piper Archer II). TBD its usefulness. The carton survived the transit (by some miracle).
Each jack arrived in its own box. However, each box was torn open and parts were hanging out. The nuts and bolts used for assembly were loose from their plastic bag and scattered about the packing paper. I was able to replace the missing hardware nuts from my own stock. The jack stands were easy to assemble and work great. Let’s work on the packaging part.
I was fooled by the banner title on this item which says Aircraft Jack For...Mooney in large type. It does NOT fit under the wing of my Mooney, much to my disappointment. I ordered two and one of the boxes arrived partially open with some hardware floating around loose inside. I dont know whether anything was missing or not, since I got an RMA after a quick attempt at a test fit showed that they were unusable for my Mooney M20J. Because they are large and very heavy, shipping them back was quite expensive and when I got the RMA I was assured that the shorter, 24 replacements would be shipped once mine were returned. After the tracking info on the packages indicated that they were returned, and after waiting a while with no updates I called to check on the status. it took over a month of repeated phone calls after that checking on status before my card was credited. Each time I was assured Id be called back that day or the next with an update, and that went on every week for several weeks with no return calls. Never did get a call back on status, but my card was eventually credited. I was also told that replacements were not shipped and Id have to place a new order. Not a great experience, all started because the page title is very misleading regarding application to Mooneys.
These have a warning label that specifically state Do not use for aircraft purposes. Also, the parts showed up wrapped in paper in a big box with a good bit of the paint scraped off.
The weight of this product is 49 lbs.
Yes. It does have a locking collar.
26 inches.
The manufacturer does not offer a rebuild kit for these jacks.
Per the supplier: the jack is a universal, commercially available part. The label is a disclaimer from the manufacturer of the jack itself. As the manufacturer of the kit, we provide a safety collar with the part as a preventative measure in case something on the jack should fail while the jack is in use.
Part is made in china and part in Taiwan.
