Works well on all gauges of wire except 16. It doesnt quite cut quite deep enough on 16 gauge to strip it. Im guessing I got a bad blade set and its not indicative that all Stripmasters are bad. It is nice that it will gauge the wire size If you have a piece of wire you are not quite sure of the size. Use the stripper in the next larger slot up and see if the insulation will come off. Move down in size until the insulation comes of clean and you know the gauge.
