Alcor EGT and CHT 3-1/8" combo gauges are aircraft quality gauges which will provide precise monitoring of engine temperatures. PMA/FAA approved. Some of the most popular systems are shown here, and all systems are available. Request quotation on unlisted models.

Basic system kits include the 3-1/8" instrument, one lead and one probe to monitor the EGT & CHT for a single cylinder.

I had a failure of my Cylinder #1 EGT Temperature probe recently, I ordered this new one. It took about 2 hours to install properly, and it worked fine on the test flight. In fact, I discovered that this version of the EGT probe is actually built much better than the original was (it seats much better into the exhaust manifold). The electrical parts were of sufficient length for Cylinder #1, but might not have been for others. The wiring was compatible with my current wiring.

Q: Whats the difference between the J and the K lead of the alcor EGT system?

Type j and type k thermocouple leads are two different alloys that react with one another based on the thermocouple effect. Each egt/cht gauge requires a certain thermocouple type to respond properly.
