The ELM200 (MiniUni 2.25") is a compact and versatile Electronic Flight Instrument System (EFIS) designed specifically for experimental fixed-wing aircraft. Offering exceptional performance in a small form factor, this cost-effective instrument fits perfectly into a standard 2.25" panel opening and provides essential flight information and advanced features that enhance safety and situational awareness during every flight.
In-Flight Capabilities: Precise Sensors: Altitude pressure, airspeed, gyroscope, and accelerometer sensors provide accurate real-time data for critical flight parameters. V-Speed Reference Strip: Displays speed warnings based on user-defined V-speeds, ensuring safe flight envelope management at all times. GPS-Based Tracking: Real-time track and ground speed data are displayed for enhanced situational awareness. External Compass Module Support: Optionally connect an external compass to provide GPS-independent heading in areas where GPS signals may be unavailable. Outside Air Temperature: When paired with the optional OAT sensor, the display shows both outside air temperature and True Airspeed (TAS) for precise speed management. Sunlight-Readable Display: The 2.25" transflective display ensures clear visibility even under direct sunlight and varying light conditions. Intuitive Controls: A built-in rotary knob allows for easy adjustment of barometric pressure, heading bug settings, and quick access to the settings menu for configuration. Post-Flight Analysis: Flight Data Recorder: Logs key flight parameters at set intervals for later analysis. Data can be exported to a computer using a Micro SD card for further review and diagnostics. Google Earth Export: Export flight paths in Google Earth format to visualize your entire route and flight path on detailed maps, allowing for comprehensive post-flight review. Available Versions: 1. GPS-Based Version: Operates solely on GPS information, eliminating the need for pitot/static connections. Features a barometric altimeter for precise altitude measurement, with airspeed displayed based on GPS ground speed. The artificial horizon relies on GPS corrections, which may have limitations, but can be upgraded with a stand-alone AHRS module (not included) for full pitot/static integration. Full Pitot + GPS Version: Incorporates dynamic pressure sensors and supports pitot/static connections. Delivers the most precise flight data, including accurate artificial horizon, airspeed, and true airspeed readings by utilizing all available sensors. |
