Spruce pricing was best. As far as the plug goes... this design is especially good for older radials that were not designed for 100 LL. This design helps burn off the lead deposits.
Its a spark plug. It looks pretty jazzy with the shiny nickle plating. The engine runs well with them. The price (by aircraft standards) is pretty reasonable.

I had to switch from REM40E plugs to these UREM37BY plugs for clearance purposes for my A65. They run great, no problems.
In my opinion they hold up better than champions.
Great plugs! My existing Champion plugs all ohm tested well within specs yet mag checks always caused the engine to stumble and a large RPM drop. 8 UREM37BY plugs later and the engine is smooth and runs much, much better. Ive always preferred the BY plugs over standard massive. Highly recommended!

A recent mag and harness change had my plug wires up against the top cowl on my A-65. These Tempest UREM37BYs are about a half inch shorter than the Champion REM40Es they replace. Yippie! NO cowl blister needed! I have read they are less prone to lead fouling and can net more hp. Id give 10 stars if I could.
