They are round on top and pointy on the bottom. Yes, I purchased some structural screws! Remember: you’ll need a bag per wing and don’t look for the ones that go around the fuel cap. You’ll need to order those separately. I could go into the dissertation about how things in aviation cost more than they should… But the quality here was good, and it was “expected pricing” when considering it goes on an airplane

SS SCREW KIT FL TK 150/152

These screws will save grief and hundreds of dollars over fighting rusty originals, and will retain their strength.

Came as described. Needs an option for the long range tanks or at least a note telling you to order two kits if you have the big tanks

Ordered these screws for my 1968 Piper Cherokee. These appear to be an exact replacement for my existing screws which were worn out/stripped. One thing that I noticed is if not applying ample pressure during installation the phillips head could get malformed/stripped just like my original screws. NOTE: The UPS delivery guy accidentally shipped product to my neighbor and I did not get my package right away. Aircraft Spruce made it right and promptly shipped another order free of charge. Thanks Guys for acting so quickly and resolving the issue!

Fits perfectly. Just note that the structural fuel tank screw kit only provided enough screws for one tank. To do both sides you will not another kit

They appear to be an exact replacement for my old corroded screws. Great service and fast shipping from Spruce as usual. I looked before ordering and the Spruce information said the kits were sold by the tank. I needed to replace both tanks so I ordered 2 sets. I was shipped enough screws for 4 tanks. I returned the excess and got a credit but was out the return shipping cost. Im not sure who was wrong, the website or shipping department. Suggest you check before ordering.

Purchased for a cessna 150. Note. This kit is for ONE tank, and does not include the screws that go around the filler neck. So for 30 sum odd bucks you get a handful of tank cover screws. The cad plated ones lasted 40 years, so thats what will go back on there next time. And do the kit yourself from the parts manual and actually get what you need.

Q: Are the fuel tank structural stainless screw kits per tank or per aircraft?

These kits are priced and sold per tank.

Q: Part # 04-02068: How many screws are in the kit? Are they different sizes? They are structural so are they over 100,000 PSI in strength? Are they FAA-PMA approved?

Per Vendor: There are 87 screws per tank. There is 4 different sizes all 8-32 thread with the ending dash number -0812, -0809, -0808, -0807. These screws are all 125,000 tensile strength. The FAA-PMA approval does not apply because these are MS screws.

Q: Are the six screws around the filler cap included in the kit?

Per vendor: These are not included in the kit. We can help you however and include them, just give us the size and how many you need when placing your order and we will do it as a special order to accommodate our customers.

Q: What about galvanic corrosion? Are we expected to place a plastic washer on each screw?

Plastic washers are not supplied this is just the screw kit. You would need to check your aircraft parts manual to see if plastic washers were used in this application.
