The real deal! Real crush washers! Size was exactly as needed for intended purpose and these crushable washers did the job. Solved a longstanding problem where a previously used fiber washer became brittle with use and failed. Have bought washers sold as crush washers before but they did not appear to be anything other than regular washers that were (supposedly) made out of pure copper.

These AN900 Crush Washers are being used to seal around the engine and transmission oil drain plugs on. 1972 VW Super Beetle restoration project. I can always rely on Aircraft Spruce to have what I need, and to get it too me quickly and at a reasonable price.

Ken K... perhaps you should have read the description: AN900 (MS35769) annular copper-asbestos gaskets (crush washers) ...: Pretty clear. Plus the MS and AN specs are very specific as to what they are.

While legal and of the correct diameter, these crush washers are made of very thin copper and always leak. I used to have a stash of old ones which were much more substantial and never leaked but I have run out. Spruce should change its supplier for AN900 crush washers.

I guess the quality is OK, but the description should be more descriptive. I thought I was buying solid copper crush washers. Instead they are copper clad gaskets. Cant use them.

I bought a dozed AN900-28 crush washers and they leak. I tried two of the 12. they both leaked. I ended up buying some old stock washers from an A&P on the field and they do not leak. The newer washers are thinner material and do not fit as well.
