Refined Edges Each bit has slightly chamfered edges and a smooth top face to optimize engagement with fasteners.  Long Reach Bits Long bits allow you to reach deep into narrow, recessed areas.  Straight, Permanent Connection Bits are pressed directly into the socket for a permanent connection. The carefully-controlled process ensures bits are exceptionally straight, and the tightly-mated fit results in a bit that won't loosen over time or under stress. - 
6140 Chromium-Vanadium (Cr-V) Steel Socket - Heat-treated to 40.5–47.5 HRC. Chrome-plated exterior is highly corrosion resistant and wipes clean to a mirror finish.

S2 Steel Bit - Heat-treated to 57-63 HRC to resist shocks and maintain geometry under stress.
